TIANA
RAIMIST-CARTER
ABOUT ME
As a Los Angeles native, Tiana often finds herself relating to the subjects of songs about “road tripping out west,” which is why traveling a whopping 2,021.4 miles from LA to Tuscaloosa for college was nothing but excitement to her.
Born in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Tiana quickly began a long life of transience. Aside from LA, Tiana has found her bearings on 117th at 1st Ave, the one and only Spanish Harlem, and the art-infused streets of Minneapolis. She finally escaped the big-city life and found herself in Tuscaloosa, where she learned that “Roll Tide” can be used to say “hello”, “goodbye”, and “how are you?”
Tiana quickly became the person to intern 3-4 times a year. She found herself interning in entertainment focused companies like the 2016 Television Academy (Emmys) program in Public Relations hosted at BECK Media & Media and the 2017 Outfest LGBT Film Festival in Outreach through the Los Angeles Arts Commission program.
In college, Tiana majored in an interdisciplinary program that allowed her to craft a degree in Music Industry, Visual Arts, Activism and Entertainment Public Relations. Tiana has designed her life to revolve around the entertainment industry and live event world with hopes to find herself representing the next One Direction before she’s 25.
After finishing college in 2.5 years and getting a degree before her first legal drink, Tiana moved back to New York City to intern at The Moth on the bustling Wall Street, through the Arts & Business Council of New York’s Diversity in Arts Leadership Program. Once the program ended, Tiana explored a production career and assisted at the 2018 MTV VMA Awards and the 2018 Afropunk Music Festival in Brooklyn. Three days after Afropunk, Tiana found herself back in Los Angeles and interning with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in Music Touring before receiving a full-time offer to begin in the mailroom and rise the ranks to Music Touring Assistant. In 2020, Tiana joined the Music Touring department of William Morris Endeavor (WME). But when the pandemic hit the live music industry, she pivoted to Television. After working in the intersection of production and set safety for an FX limited series, Tiana began her next chapter in Television Development. Now, she is the Coordinator/Creative Executive at Anna Fricke’s untitled production company with an overall deal at CBS developing content for Television.
Most recently, Tiana assisted in the music touring department at United Talent Agency (UTA) where she facilitated all aspects of the booking process from routing to advancing for $20M+ worth of guarantees in bookings. Her bookings ranged from the club level to stadium and arena world tours in domestic and international markets across the globe. She’s covered and booked shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Chile, Argentina, India, Japan and China for touring DJ’s/Producers in traditional CDJ performances and live/hybrid formats. Her work included tour routing, ticket counts, show coverage, advancing, marketing, itinerary, visa preparation and support of artist needs at UTA, WME and CAA, where worked her way up from intern to mailroom to floater to assistant. A recent list of acts she’s toured domestically and internationally includes A$AP Rocky, Jorja Smith, Amber Mark, Xavier Omär, ILLENIUM, Blanke, Inzo, William Black, Maya Delilah, Amorphous & Gavin Turek.
